Australian Labradoodles are known for their intelligence, joy, and sociability. Their willingness to please makes training fun. However having an intelligent dog, doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be trained. An untrained dog could easily end up making his own rules, and could get into trouble. We have worked very hard to start our puppies off right. Training and socializing your dog from the day he comes to you is essential, and keep in mind every experience is a learning experience. From puppy preschool for socialization, in-home training programs, private lessons, group lessons, and even online training programs. There is something for everyone, and every type of learning style and personality. Here are some training options to consider.

Head Start Puppy Program

3 Weeks $1150

4 weeks $1300

Additional weeks: upon request

For those wanting a head start before bringing puppy home, we offer an in-home training and socialization program. Starting at 8 weeks, your puppy will live with our trainer for the duration of the training. You have the option to have your puppy complete anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Focus is on continued socialization, handling, targeting behaviors, imprinting, beginning house training, and crate training. At the completion of training, you are given a private lesson and a series of handouts on how to handle the dog so your only responsibility is re-enforcement. For each week of training completed you get an additional one-on-on lesson after puppy goes home.

Week One

In week one we introduce recall (most important command in our opinion), crate training, potty training, socialization with other dogs, touch a target, sit, handling exercises, agility activities, proper play, and we begin teaching heel position.

Week Two

In week two we introduce place, down, and leash skills. We continue to work on all the wonderful things we introduced in week one.

Week Three

In week three we begin community outings to help the puppy understand our world and what type of behavior is expected of them. It is a great opportunity to practice all the new skills your puppy has learned.

Week Four

In week four we just keep working, practicing all their skills, going on outings, and adding in any new fun thing we may have time for. It takes time to build all these skills and make them stick.

Private sessions

Our trainer also offers private sessions in her facility working one on one with you and your dog.
